The Start of Silver Eye - Can the Doll hospital just replace the eye????? Or Will she need a whole new head - If so how unky does the silver Eye look. I really don't want a mattel head on a PM body.

She did clean up nice otherwise

My 1990 Kirsten has been showing the start of silver eye for about 6 years. It hasn't changed at all, just metallic around the rims.

If it doesn't bother you, you might not need to get it fixed at all.

Thanks - That is reassuring - I think I will stick it out for a while - She really is lovely in every onther way.

I had never seen Silver Eye before and it was a bit disconcerting.

The doll hospital should replace just the eyes, but you'll get the mattel stiff eyelashes. I've been told all of the 4 or 5 times I've had my doll's eyes replaced that this is standard procedure for treating silver eye. They will replace the whole head only if they rip her face(sorry for being grotesque) in the process of removing her old eyes.
